Vancouver Whitecaps FC has loaned defender Joedrick Pupe to Belgian First Division A club Sint-Truidense V.V. through June 2026, with the deal including an option for the Belgian side to make the transfer permanent.
The 28-year-old defender arrived in Vancouver last August from Belgian second-tier club F.C.V. Dender but made limited impact with the Whitecaps, featuring in just two appearances during his brief stint with the Major League Soccer side.
The loan move represents an opportunity for Pupe to return to familiar territory in Belgian football, where he previously plied his trade before his move to MLS. Sint-Truidense, commonly known as STVV or Sint-Truiden, will have the chance to evaluate the defender over the remainder of the 2025-26 season before deciding whether to exercise their purchase option.
The transaction provides the Whitecaps with roster flexibility as they continue to shape their squad for the 2026 MLS campaign.
