Vancouver Whitecaps Sign USMNT’s Aziel Jackson on Loan from Poland
Vancouver Whitecaps FC have acquired attacking midfielder Aziel Jackson on loan from Polish club Jagiellonia Białystok through June 2026, the club announced Friday. The deal includes an option to purchase the 24-year-old United States international, pending completion of an international transfer certificate, work permit, and medical examination.
Jackson returns to Major League Soccer after a brief stint in Poland, bringing extensive experience from three previous MLS clubs. The versatile attacker won the 2024 Leagues Cup with the Columbus Crew and also featured for St. Louis CITY SC and Minnesota United FC during his time in the league.
\”Aziel is a player we are very familiar with from his time in the league, and he understands the demands of MLS,\” said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC sporting director. \”He is a dynamic, versatile attacker who will provide another option going forward.\”
The California native earned his first senior cap for the United States Men’s National Team in January 2024, adding international pedigree to his résumé. His ability to operate as both an attacking midfielder and forward gives Vancouver head coach Vanni Sartini additional tactical flexibility in the final third.
\”I’m incredibly excited and honoured to join Vancouver Whitecaps FC,\” Jackson said. \”This is a club with a strong vision and passionate supporters, and I can’t wait to get to work.\”
Jackson’s arrival bolsters Vancouver’s attacking options ahead of the 2026 MLS season. The Whitecaps will look to integrate the midfielder into their system as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
