**MIAMI, FLA.** — In a gritty defensive slugfest, Miami escaped College Station with a 10-3 victory over Texas A&M, thanks to a pair of crucial fourth-quarter interceptions by Bryce Fitzgerald that stifled the Aggies’ comeback hopes.
The game remained scoreless through the first half before Carter Davis finally broke through with a 21-yard field goal midway through the third quarter. Davis converted on his only successful attempt after missing three earlier tries, finishing 1-for-4 on the day.
Texas A&M responded early in the fourth when Randy Bond nailed a 35-yarder to knot the score at 3-3 with 8:03 remaining, setting up a tense final stretch.

The Hurricanes’ ground game provided crucial balance, with Mark Fletcher Jr. bulldozing for 172 yards on 17 carries, including a long of 56 yards. Toney added 82 punt return yards on four attempts, providing excellent field position throughout.
Miami’s defense was relentless, recording seven sacks and 10 tackles for loss. Keionte Scott led the charge with 10 tackles and two sacks, while Rueben Bain Jr. wreaked havoc with three sacks and four tackles for loss.
Marcel Reed struggled under constant pressure for Texas A&M, completing 25-of-39 passes for 237 yards but throwing two costly interceptions—both to Fitzgerald, who returned them for 36 yards total and effectively ended the Aggies’ upset bid.
