**Federico Dimarco delivered a masterclass performance as Inter Milan overturned an early two-goal deficit to dismantle Pisa 6-2 in a Serie A thriller.**
The visitors stunned the San Siro when Stefano Moreo struck twice in the opening 23 minutes, silencing the home crowd and leaving Inter reeling. Pisa’s clinical counter-attacking threatened to embarrass the title contenders, with Moreo capitalizing on defensive lapses to establish what looked like a commanding advantage.
But Inter’s response was ruthless and relentless.
Piotr Zieliński sparked the comeback with a 39th-minute penalty, before Lautaro Martínez halved the deficit just two minutes later. Francesco Pio Esposito completed the first-half turnaround on the stroke of halftime, sending Inter into the break with an unlikely 3-2 lead after trailing by two.
The second half belonged to Federico Dimarco, who earned a perfect 10 rating with one goal and two assists while orchestrating six key passes from the left flank. His 82nd-minute strike effectively sealed the contest before substitutes made their mark late on. Ange-Yoan Bonny added a fifth in the 86th minute, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan capped the rout in the 90th.
Inter’s dominance was reflected in the statistics: 66.4% possession, 34 shots with 14 on target, and a staggering 90% pass completion rate. Pisa goalkeeper Simone Scuffet made five saves but couldn’t stem the tide as Inter’s attacking unit clicked into gear.
Alessandro Bastoni contributed an assist from defense, while Marcus Thuram also got on the scoresheet in the assist column. Despite Moreo’s impressive brace and four interceptions, Pisa’s defensive structure crumbled under sustained pressure, managing just three shots on goal.
The comprehensive victory showcased Inter’s championship pedigree and their ability to respond when challenged.
